Sink

our old sink, the picture was taken last night, we decided to change it and as you can see one of the door is missing and it's made of wood.

our new sink! not the conventional way of getting a new one, but it works for us and it's pre-made in the factory and they just need to installed it for us. quite convenient, clean and easier to maintain, hehe.

Apa Nak Jadi...

SINGAPORE (AFP) - - A Christian Singaporean couple were found guilty of sedition on Thursday for distributing evangelical publications that cast Islam in a negative light, court officials said.

Ong Kian Cheong and his wife Dorothy Chan had been charged with distributing a seditious publication to two Muslims in October and March 2007 and sending a second such booklet to another Muslim in December that same year, a district court official told AFP.

The publications were found to have promoted feelings of ill-will and hostility between Christians and Muslims, the Straits Times said on its website.

A hearing was set for June 4 for mitigation pleas and sentencing.

The sedition charge carries a jail term of up to three years or a fine of up to 5,000 Singapore dollars (3,437 US) or both.

Singapore, a multi-racial island nation, clamps down hard on anyone seen to be inciting communal tensions.

In 2005, two ethnic Chinese men were jailed for anti-Muslim blogs.

The following year, a Singaporean blogger received a stern warning after posting cartoons mocking Jesus Christ on his online journal.

Ethnic Chinese make up a majority of the city-state's resident population but there are significant numbers of Malay Muslims, ethnic Indians and other groups.

Why are they some ppl who like to stirs up trouble when it's not necessary for them to do so. It's already bad enough as to how Islam/Muslim has been projected or looked upon lately. Sigh....

More on H1N1

SINGAPORE: Singapore on Thursday confirmed three more cases of Influenza A (H1N1), bringing the number of infected persons in the country to four.

A day earlier, Singapore confirmed its first case of A(H1N1) flu, in a 22—year—old female Singapore Management University (SMU) student who recently returned to the city—state from New York.

The second confirmed case is a 43—year—old Singapore Permanent Resident who returned to Singapore from San Francisco via Manila on Tuesday (May 26) at 1750 hours.

She was on Singapore Airlines flight SQ 917 and was seated at 33H. She became unwell while on board.

The third confirmed case is a 28—year—old American woman working in Singapore. She returned to Singapore from Honolulu via Tokyo on Tuesday (May 26) at 2353 hours, on United Airlines flight UA 803. She was seated at 33C and became unwell on May 26.

The fourth confirmed case is a 28—year—old Singaporean man who returned to Singapore from Chicago via Hong Kong on May 25 at 0036 hours. He was on United Airlines flight UA 895 and was seated at 55H. He became unwell on May 25.

The patients are currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).

In a statement, the Health Ministry said their symptoms are relatively mild and all the patients are in stable condition.

Looks like more to come like that...i am sad just thinking about it.

If you are sick and having a flu, please don't go out to the public and to just stay at home and recovery. Even though the government had said that there's nothing to be worried about, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Appt again..

Went for my Gynae appt, i had to go 1 hour earlier from the appt time just to do blood test before seeing the dr.

And i was having a nagging sort of feeling that the day won't turn out so good and i was kinda right and luckily i was not made to wear the face mask again. Got there around 805am and register at the counter. I think the counter staff assumed that i know what to do for the blood taking but i don't,[i was called to have a blood test when i got home from my last appt with the dr, the staff just told me to come and everything will be ready for me and of course i don't have the blood forms right] and told me to go to room 2 for the dr appt. And when i had to pointed out to her about the blood test, only then she told me to go to room 22. So the patients have to be more vigilant about these kind of matters?

The nurse asked me as well where was my forms and i had to explained again, alamak, tired you know. Why was there, like no communications between this section and that section. I made the effort to come early and this is what i was getting. She even thought that i need to do another ultrasound and i said no, it's blood test, why don't she just checked the dr's notes or something. And true enough after 10mins of wasting my time they believe me. Took my blood and had to wait for 30-45mins for the results to come back. In the meantime i just wait and watch the tv.

When it's time to see the dr, i got the blood results from the nurse and she shows me my HB count is 12.2, which is good. Alhamdulilah. I don't know what i do or maybe it was pure coincidence, due to the facts that i have been eating a lot of brown rice at home? Haha. The dr was happy with the blood results and asking me routine questions and i would be seeing her in another 6 months time. Yay.

Next i have to go to the pharmacy to collect my medications. When my number was called, the pharmacist asked me what is my IC no. So i was saying S7...i haven't even finished saying it when she interrupted me and started to explained the medicaions and what not. Like....what the fish la, why you even bother to asked me what is my IC, if you can't be bothered to hear it. So funny the pharmacist, makes me kinda lose my mood a bit, like want to shake her abit also, haha. She just give me the medications for 3 months first, if i need more i have to go there AGAIN to get the other 3 months of the medications. Alamak! And i realised also she didn't asked me if i have taken the medications before or not, tsk tsk, such in a hurry that she forget some of the important things which she should be asking the patients instead.

Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Let's hope she won't be serving me the next time.

Look

I saw this when i was going for my dr's appt in Sgh, quite interesting, but kinda sad cause it just shows how bad some of us behaved that the government need to resort to this kind of things to make the public more aware of what they are doing.

I feel kinda embarrassed at times to be a Singaporean ;x

kinda cute right they choose PCK and Rosie to advertised for this.

this person is oblivious of the advert, sigh...kids nowadays.

I even saw the video in the train, whereby PCK was singing about manners and what not, while you are taking the trains. I just wish it would make more ppl aware of their surroundings and not just thinking of themselves all the time!

H1N1

Sigh...hope and pray that it won't happen but looks like it's not meant to be...

The patient, a 22—year—old Singapore Management University student, is currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and is in stable condition.

The Singaporean woman was in New York from May 14—24. She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 on 26 May at 6.30am. She was seated at Row 55.

She began to develop a cough while onboard. She passed the thermal scanner uneventfully as she did not have fever then.

Later in the morning, she consulted a GP who decided to send her to TTSH via a 993 ambulance, given her travel history.

She was immediately admitted for testing. Laboratory confirmation of her infection was made by midnight of 26 May.

The patient has been vigilant in monitoring her own condition and had sought immediate medical attention once she realized that she was unwell.

Her attending GP, through his quick response in activating the 993 ambulance for the patient, had also helped to minimize the spread of infection from this case.

It has been kinda cloudy where i am staying but it didn't rain, WHY WHY WHY!

Really wishing that the rainy seasons would come soon, sigh. PLEASE!!

Appt

In the end i decided to go ahead for my cardio dr appt.

As i had expected when i reached NHC, the first thing they asked everyone to do was to wear the mask and to give them our I.C to register the ppl who was visiting the place. I don't mind so much wearing the mask. I came around 9am and my appt was to be at 930am. I went to wait for my turn and i didnt expect it at all when my number was called next! Wow so lucky.

Saw the dr and she asked me how was my progress and so forth. She was happy to see my Haemoglobin (HB), one of the blood test that i had taken was normal and asked about the Ultrasound from GS. I told her the i had not gone for that appt yet as it would only be on the 18th. And to my surprised she said, i don't need to go for my GS appt as my blood level seems normal enough for now. Yippe! One appt less for me.

So the next appt will be in 6 months time to see her and i have to do an ECG on arrival as well.

I've talked to my sis, Ipah and she said even though that's what the dr told me, i still can't be "lazy" and not look after myself. I need to go out more and "TRY" to exercise as well as what i've always been saying to myself and until now i haven't done anything about it xD.

Oh yeah about the operation, the dr was saying, it won't be happening anytime soon but she just wanted me to be aware that i would need to go for one if things turn out for the worse. As for now i will just be monitored.

Something..

Alhamduliliah, yesterday event for my brother has gone smoothly. It was nice to see old faces from our kampung days. They seems surprised to see me, either because i have grown taller, fatter or just different looking! One of them even commented that i look like my mum! How strange, i don't have my mum eyes, so how can i look like her... But i felt bad that i could only recognised 1 of them as he was close to one of my uncle.

It will be a chaotic month in July for him, hehe. I think Mimi is abit stress just thinking about it.

I wonder if i should go for my dr appt this coming wednesday. With the H1N1 flu going around i am not keen to go to any hospital. Maybe i should call them up to have my appt date change.

I have also been feeling restless and not really my usual self the past few days. Hard to explain. Sigh.
